Thanks for the reply. So am I correct in understanding that the freezer when situated under the fridge is colder because it is “served” by the compressor first?

The reason I ask is beacuse I have fridge/freezer (fridge on top) whose fridge is cooling but whose freezer is warm?

The compressor is filled with esther oil, would the same diagnosis still apply?

…and just as a matter of interest, how is the temprature in the freezer mainated below that of the fridge with a single compressor?
