OK I’m back again.
I am still getting an intermittent fault, which only seems to occur when I set the machine to come on at night…
So far I have:
1. Checked and cleaned filter at front of machine – OK
2. Checked pipe to pressure switch is clear – OK
3. Renewed pressure switch – not sure it was faulty
4. Renewed the heater element – the old part was low resistance to earth
5. Checked comm and brushes on motor – OK
6. Insulation tested the motor – OK
7. I have checked the control module as best I can and it appears to be OKThe intermittent fault is as before, program is aborted the dial start clicking and I get 10 flashing lights. The program always aborts during the wash cycle, and before the rinse cycle is reached.
Any ideas would be appreciated 😕
When I was checking the motor I took off the speed sensor attached to the non comm end of the machine. Not much too see because its a sealed unit, but there are strips of metal embeded into the plastic housing around the circumference – but they are not even. It looks like the housing has been worn away to reveal these, in fact in one area there is a small hole. Does anyone know if this is what it can be like, could this be the problem? Can these be purchased seperatley to the motor?
Thanks

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
Serial No. of machine is 212037293 * 80280680000.
Existing switch seems to operate when pressurised. May be the contacts have tarnised due to it not being used for several weeks.
Think I will buy a new switch anyway, I’ve seen similiar one on website for about £20. I’ve looked through the UK whitegoods spares shop and they don’t seem to have one.
Thanks
🙂

😥 Just when you think you’ve fixed it…after 5 washes the fault comes back again !!!
Could anyone confirm what fault is associated with 10 flashes on an Ariston A1324UK washer? I think its a pressure sensor? If so, is this the circular one located just under the top cover.
