I have tried previously but never got a response. I have tried again by contact form and email but still nothing and the telephone isn’t valid? https://www.rapportsoftware.co.uk/contact-us 01563 557156

ParticipantI have looked at over 20, if not more, pieces of software (manufacturers portals and Servicemate etc) and haven’t found anything that really solves all the issues. Some features i’d expect to be “common” are not and the way modern software indexes things is a mystery to me. Integration with modern accounts software has also been a struggle. The leap from 1-4 engineers to handling 5+ engineers has been a struggle.

ParticipantThe beko machines have performance complaints where people choose the wrong cycle for the load. Towels on a quick wash is the most common. It throws the water out the soap drawer then

ParticipantMight be nice to see a due diligence thread on some of the companies such as connect / pacifica as well as the larger manufacturers. The name of the company forgets me but was it ADSL or someone that went bang must be 10 years ago?

what oven did you buy /
Dave
Thanks Dave, it was an Indesit. Turns out the gas pipe was using a water valve to turn on and off so lucky we noticed really!

Participantdon wrote:I get this almost every day 🙁 the best ones I know of is the Indesit IFV5Y0IX as it has the cut away to allow for the gas pipe. Or you keep what you have and have the gas pipe reconfigured to fit around the new oven.
Don
Thanks Don, I thought there was a spec to choose. Currys have a filter option for “flat back ovens” which I thought might be an indicator of something am missing. Turns an easy job into a pain!

qmlkt216 is like the base number
1b2c3b4b appears to be the variantI got the part number, which appears to be the manufacturer number, from the people who handle the repairs. They just gave me the part number and good luck! I wouldn’t buy Russell Hobbs after this experience.
I might be able to find an equivalent but it can be more hassle than its worth with the mass imported stuff

ParticipantThanks for the help Dave. Trying to replace the part before looking at alternative. It’s issues with the door switches am trying to avoid by reforming

ParticipantIf all manufacturers offered parts cover and a fixed price repair it would solve a lot of issues.
I don’t know how people are going to be able to fix their own appliances when sometimes not even the manufacturer knows what’s wrong
