    Thanks although it is over 1 year old as fault occurred before year was up will be Candy that will decide if economic. Noy sure if they will take into account fact already had two new thermostats.

    Sounds like I will have to let them re-gas it wait for that to fail and then go from there!

    Thanks for that gas problem didn’t make sense to me but not an expert obviously.

    Would the thermistor be the long wire thing that was attached to the thermostat when the engineer replaced the thermostat a couple of weeks back? Or is that something else entirely. Apologies for my ignorance.

    If it is the compressor am guessing it would be uneconomical to repair?

    Happy to provide any more information but appreciate if there is not any further assistance you can give. Have a feeling am going to have a fight on my hands!

    Sorry should have said engineer could find no obvious damage for gas to leak so thinks it was gradual which seems strange as fault developed suddenly.
