Your assumption is correct – with the old interlock the door latches and locks and won’t open using the latch. I took the front off this morning and looked at the PCB. There is no evidence of scaring, blackening or any apparent damage.
Following the two coloured cables from the interlock they appear to go to a small brown round device attached to the front fascia and to a long large grey cylinder at the back of the chassis.
Have I misunderstood something? What should I test next?
The main control board reference is AKO 901 2440 14 for reference. I can send pictures if you can provide an email address. (Pictures are ~277KB but forum is restricted to 256KB)
