Re: Miele W736 Electronic Washing Machine Error Code Symbol

Sorry for late response but wasn’t alerted to your posting.
No I’m afraid it’s nothing like that as I’m well past that stage. It does have a float switch but the fault occurs at random between changes in the wash cycle, ie Pre Wash to Wash and Wash to Rinse and Rinse to Spin/Drain

………seems to come up with about 188 options. Were the capacitors you ordered the same as you are suggesting I need as I thing the search needs refining some how ?

Yes Dave, I have identified this component. Is this the sort of thing that’s available from Maplin ?

    PS.
As a matter of interest the two spade connections on the board that supply the power look slightly tarnished on the tips as though they may have got a bit hot at some point. Certainly the connector was a bit difficult to remove due to possible slight welding.

Thanks a lot Dave, I thought I had narrowed it down to the main control board as having checked everything else and found nothing else thought it must be the Programmer PCB. I’ve had it out and can see no blown component but presume a chip is suffering from amnesia!
I’m in the Copier industry and feel I could probably unsolder and replace a component if I knew what it was and where to get it. I’ve ordered a new board from E Spares but can send it back within 14 days of it’s arrival as it’s £130.00. Any further advice would be helpful.
    Appreciate your help.
    Regards
    Chris
