Re: Whirlpool Chest Freezer AFG 511/G

Thanks – I will have a little think about it. I’m on a pretty low income so I want to avoid paying for someone to come out really (not that I don’t appreciate the advice, I’m just being honest!), especially if it is going to be an expensive repair.

I suppose if it turns out to be a simple repair then it’s cheaper than a new one on HP (I don’t really want to do second hand any more, too much of that in the past!), then it would be worth it, but I don’t know do I?!

Thing is I don’t want to take it to the local dump if someone else could use it (that is a simple repair obviously).

    Decisions, decisions. 🙄

I will honestly have a think though.

    Thanks!

    not as usual, no.

i just happened to hear something click on when i switched it back on, a slight hum i suppose. it’s not noticeable otherwise. i didnt think there was any noise coming from it up until then.

previously, when it was working normally, you would hear it periodically kick into gear or ‘switch down’ in it’s normal behaviour – this is what i was referring to when i said about it breathing (strange term i know!). apart from the warning light and the green ‘on’ light, you wouldnt know it was working at all unless you had exceptional hearing.
