Regarding the flashing X . This is not a major fault . just a corrupted flash area, you can download a program from tomtom which will clear this area without you loosing any maps, you only loose the user settings and last visted places.

Hi, never come across any courses, but most of the manufacturers have in house training if you contact them.
Many of the commercial appliances are simpler than the domestics just more expensive, bigger and 3 Phase.
