Thanks Martin, is that the part that also regulates the speed of the motor? Reason I ask is that it does seem to remain regulated – it’s not that it’s running away with itself when it does spin, and it can still do a slow spin if needed.

When it does kick in, I’m hearing the usual ‘click’ from the controller, as though it’s instructing the motor to do something, but maybe this is something else? It’s as though the controller is correctly say ‘OK, fast spin now’, and it does, it’s just that it’s doing it out of sequence.
