Re: No heat in Hoover Logic Reversing Dryer

I’ve just looked at the online video about testing thermostats and indeed it seems to be that simple. Any further ideas? I’m starting to have a really hard time stopping my wife from purchasing a new tumble dryer! 🙂

Thanks for prompting me on this. We took it apart yesterday. The element is good for continuity. I’ve tested the thermostat for continuity regarding its wiring and that seems to be okay too. I also tested what we think is the condenser and its wiring continuity input and output is fine. Could the continuity of thermostat be okay yet the thermostat still not working properly?

If the heat still coming on by 20-30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} could it still be the TOC? If the TOC is broken wouldn’t there be no heating at all? Thanks

    Hey there,

I know that his is an old post but I have the same problem with my HOOVER Logic Reversing Dryer (Premier). However, it does seem to heat up a little. the serial number is D669810100600 if that helps. Could it be the be the element event though it still heats up a bit? I’ve never dismantle these machines so not sure but happy to give it a go with a little guidance.

    Thanks in advance!
    Clem
