Re: Liebherr GN2323 Freezer not cold enough

    Hi,

I can’t find the part no. 6144436 under thermostats and sensors in the fridge and freezer spare parts section! Please could you confirm the number and let me know if you are able to get it for me?

    Regards

    Colin

Re: Liebherr GN2323 Freezer not cold enough

    Many thanks.

Over the last few months the freezer has been running at -18c with the evaporator sensor removed from the evaporator and dangling down in the food area.
With the new sensor wired in and correctly positioned in the evaporator I’m back to where I was at -9C.
I bought a small freezer cheaply off ebay which I have been using more recently now I can only get -9C again.

    Colin.

The sensor unfortunately has not done the trick. Can you give me the ref no. for the pcb please for my Liebherr GN2323? I guess that is the only remaining part that can have failed.

    Thanks, Colin

Re: Liebherr GN2323 Freezer not cold enough

    Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. It is the evaporator sensor that I have re-routed to the general freezer area. I did this because I suspected the sensor to be faulty and stopping the freezer from getting down to -18C. By putting it somewhere warmer I figured that this would allow the general freezer area to get down to the previous evaporator temp before cutting out which it has.
Also I am now able to put food in the freezer which is at the correct temp but I realise that this is a temporary fix and hopefully have eliminated other possible faults.
I now feel quite confident buying the new sensor.

Re: Liebherr GN2323 Freezer not cold enough

With the evaporator swung down I have now lifted the sensor out, replaced the polystyrene and hung the sensor just inside the door so that it will monitor the air temp rather than the evaporator temp.
With the evaporator now secured back where it should be and after 6 hours my freezer has now reached -18C (temperature indicator set at -18C no longer flashes and the alarm light also is out + I have a thermometer in the freezer confirming -18C). The fan definitely works because I put a pen mark on one of the blades earlier and upon reinspection it had changed position.
Is it now safe to assume that the evaporator sensor is faulty?
If so, I will purchase one from your site.
Is it in the form of a repair kit where I cut the existing wire to remove the old and connect the new?

Re: Liebherr GN2323 Freezer not cold enough

Shall I bypass the evaporator sensor at the PCB to see if the temperature drops enough to start the fan?

Re: Liebherr GN2323 Freezer not cold enough

I’ve now swung down the evaporator and there is no ice (it,s been turned off now for a further 2 days now) and I can spin the fan blade freely.

I’ve also now located the two sensors but difficult to disconnect at the back. Does the tray pull right out some how?

Re: Liebherr GN2323 Freezer not cold enough

Would 2 days switched off not be long enough to melt any ice?
