ParticipantRe: Hoover CA230 Timer Terminations
Thank you both, I have just done it. Phoned Hoover and they sent me a copy by e-mail. Could not believe it! I also can’t believe that I left off the two wires from the timer motor when changing wire for wire I just don’t know what happened, 😳 it must of been when she brought the tea in!!

ParticipantRe: Bosch F/Freezer fault code
Although I have taken a voltage reading on one before I can’t remember what it was but quite high if my memory serves me.
Do you know what voltage should be
Thanks

ParticipantRe: HOTPOINT MISTRAL R134A – Help….
After you defrost the most important thing is to make sure the drain hole is cleared or it will just ice up again!

ParticipantRe: Fridge Freezer Cold Location
Where customers can’t move appliance to warmer position I have wired a freezer stat set to 2 so that at least the freezer food will be kept at about -15c over night, only possible problem that fridge may get slightly too cold so keep high water content food (that may freeze) on top shelf. (thats where I should be!!!)

More than likely a gas leak, although you get ice on back wall the evaporator is not cold enough to switch off. You may notice that the ice is not down the rear wall as far as it should be, or it is wet at the bottom of wall. See if the suction pipe back to compressor is cold, when appliance first switched on should be very cold to point of frosting (134a gas)

ParticipantRe: Bosch F/Freezer fault code
Thanks again Greg, this customer is someone I know, and back in the summer he said that the fridge was freezing intermitantly, corrected when switched off and defrosted, I said then could be sticking valve and give it a tap when fault on fridge to prove it, and would change if fault could be seen when I was there, not happend since and got call other day with this E2 fault. I’m sure pcb because of no voltage to valve, but could be a valve fault (and sensor?) after that. Christ nows where we should go from here.
Sorry for long post
Thanks againColin

Thanks Greg, now I know it’s easy to say I thought so, but I know E1 is Fridge sensor but the freezer is the only bit thats working ok, the fridge is not working, no voltage down to solonoid valve, you think freezer sesor would cause that?
