Re: Siemens WXLM146AGB/03 not powering up

    hi thanks for that Kwatt.

that’s on the verge of being uneconomical for this 7 year old 2 washes a day machine.
Before I throw good money after bad though I had a thought, could it be a stuck or burned out fill valve? and could this cause the board to burn out? just that after I repaired the board and the machine tried to start, it was on its, I think, second instruction, (1) door lock (I heard the click) (2) open fill valve that the board began to smoke but the valve didn’t open. So if i go and stick in a new board with the initial problem still present could this then fry my new board? I guess that’s why I may be better off with an engineer or a new machine.

    any thoughts?

    many thanks

    Colin

repaired the tracks but the board started to fry when I turned it on, at least the active light showed, and the door lock operated, so Ill replace the board. any ideas where to go for a good price, nothing second hand on ebay as yet

    cheers for all your help

ok took the board out, tested a few components all fine then rechecked the track side and hey presto! brocken tracks!!!! in three places all around the top of the selector switch. Ill bridge the connections and give it a go, otherwise its a new PCB.

    thanks for you help

Thanks for getting back to me Martin

I just inspected the track side of the PCB, Ill take the unit apart tonight and have a look at the components, I assume im looking for your standard electronics issues, burned out Resistors, bulging caps etc, anything else to look out for?

    Kind regards

    colin
