Thanks guys, very helpful. I’m in a hard water area but we do use liquid detergents and low temp washes. Suspension rods do lean in slightly so they’re probably ok.
I’m wondering if I should call it quits as I’m only a handyman, and replacing the drum bearings and spider sounds like a complete strip down, don’t think I’m competent enough. If I call someone out I’d probably be better off buying a new machine! But which one!? Can’t afford Bosch or expensive makes so which budget makes would be recommended!? Obviously not Hotpoint by the sounds of it! I just don’t like adding to the environmental landfill so I like to repair things if I can!

Also the suspension rods seem to be at an angle..is this correct or should they be upright?
