    Thanks for the advice so far.

    The AEG has an auto defrost feature (and a smaller freezer capacity, 87L) for the freezer whereas the Zanussi is a manual defrost for the freezer (106L). Both fridges are self defrost. Is the auto defrost feature for the freezer worthwhile, or is it just an extra complication?

    After some searching around, I have narrowed down to:

    Zanussi ZNFN18FS5 (£797 including installation, removal of old appliance, and extended warranty 5years)
    AEG SCE818F6NS (£751 including installation, removal, but only 1 year warranty and no option to prolong it)

    Would you advise either?

    How about tumble dryers? I understand the guide says a lot about heat pumps being generally not worth the price, but all I can find shopping around are heat pump dryers. With the occasional sub£300 condensor dryer. I can’t fit a vented dryer unfortunately, and can’t rely on a clothes line because of limited supply of work uniforms (hence the regular washes).
