    Update.. 😀

A few days ago my machine stopped working in that drum wouldn’t turn at all… so I bought a set of brushes. Just fitted them and its now running great now!

So many thanks for the advice!

    Hi

Many thanks for your reply, if the fault behaviour recurs I will look at the brushes.

Re: Bosch Classixx – Needs 5 Minutes Main Power Reset EveryT

    Hi

Thank for your reply, I appreciate your comment and I know its a domestic machine. Yesterday was just the once a year family return from holiday with 2 weeks of laundry and it behaved faulty. The benefit of which was that having plenty of laundry to do allowed me to observe & diagnose the actual fault symptoms over the course of the day, hence my (rather wordy) post.

My question is does anyone know what component may cause the behaviour I experienced? i.e. after being stood unused for a couple of weeks the machine needed 5 min power off (which seemed to reset things) before a cycle would run. After doing 4 washes it then went back to normal? I think it unlikely the system was overheating through ‘over-work’ because it didn’t smell as if overheating (I had cover off) and logic suggests that the fault wouldn’t have have improved after several washes, it would have probably gone worse? 😉

*** Update *** After running washes all day – the problem appears to have rectified itself?

While we have been away on holiday, the machine has not been used for 17 days – is it possible that there is some sensor or switch that could perhaps be ‘gunked up’ or ‘sticking’ and after 8 washes today the internal moisture level has returned thereby the problem is not now occurring? ❓

    Thanks
