ParticipantBut it’s only 6 weeks old. I wonder if this is something I can try get the retailer to replace, rather than have the repairs techs organise appointments etc. I’m still waiting on LG to call me back..

The machine looks ok. Concrete counterweight seems firmly attached, and drum looks central. Can’t see the shocks but the springs look ok.
Think i’m going to give up 😥

Should the machine be front heavy to start with anyway? I found that peculiar since i’d imagined a washing machine to have even weight distribution through all four feet. Could the shock absorbers underneath the drum be damaged? How could i tell?

Our 1st floor flat is a typical london house converted into two flats, so we have suspended floors. But i’ve lived in such places before with washing machines, and they’ve been fine although i guess floor quality will vary.
Levelling the machine wasn’t helpful at all, so we tried various tilts. Raising the back feet reduced the vibration a lot but the angle is pretty savage. We don’t want to damage the machine of course, so it looks like we’ll have to put it back. But then we’re stuck with something pretty unusable.
Is there a specific brand of machine that is more stable/less vibrating than others? Or would a plinth help?

So the springs are intact. Nothing looks amiss in there, although i’m no engineer. Could it just be the quality of the machine? And will it damage the machine to have it running when leaning forward so much?

Thanks for the replies! The door seal does look a tiny bit misshaped, and we checked for transit bolts at the back and couldn’t find any.
Assuming it’s a restraint spring – is that an easy/cheap/diy repair? if not, what would be the rough cost of getting it repaired?
