So would the missing cam be the cause of no water reaching the top spray arm.

    Hi,
Sorry for the delay replying. No i have had it from new (12years). For some time now, every so offten i have to clean the rotary arms out, due to pieces of yellowish plastic in them. I thought it was a build up of cleaning tablet or something.
Now it is clear, it looks like it has been pieces of the cam breaking off over time.
Does the cam only cover one of the holes, depending on me selecting one of the buttons for either top or bottom basket, or does it do a differet job.

    Thanks
    Dave.

Well,Their is enough water in the tub,and from what you say, it can`t be the rotating cam device, as their is nothing left of it. Only the centre spigot which goes onto the drive motor.

So that part i found in the diverter device WOULD like you say, stop the arms from working. Their is nothing but the centre spline left in the diverter device, to cover the two holes.

    Hi Martin,

Thanks for your reply. Thinking about the original fault, of not getting any water from the top spray arm, and neither of the arms rotating. What could cause this fault. As i would not think the diverter problem would stop the arms from working.

    Thanks
    Dave. 😕 😕

    Hi iadom,
When you say the large fill chamber, do you mean what I called the Water metering tank, which is vertical on the left side of the dishwasher? If so does it go in between the waste outlet pipe, (on the left) and the one in the centre next to the blue fill pipe?
Also the two bits you said are not important. Could you explain exactly where they should go, just for curiosity.
    Many Thanks.
    Dave. 😕 😕
