Re: Indesit 71452 eco Agressive washing

Thanks for the reply, I am not using a tumble drier. Should I try a liquid detergent. I am regretting buying another indesit but to be fair the last one was fantastic and did no damage to my clothes at all. I only binned it due to being pretty filty.

As I say my options are limited due to needing to be 595mm wide but I have been looking at miele machines which are 595 wide. I’m not that bothered about the budget if it doesn’t destroy my clothes! 🙂

No the temprature doesn’t vary at all. I put thermometer in the drawer and then set the temp to -25. The compressor kicked in and after half hour I checked it when the compressor was off. Bang on -25. Still +11 on the readout.

I did the check I saw in another thread when you open the fridge door, press and hold fast freeze, shut the fridge door and it gives you compartment and exchanger temps.

Those are bang on. If I warm one of those thermistors with my hands and do that check they rise and fall as I would expect.

So where does the actual reading come from for that digital readout because everything seems to be working as it should.

Re: Looking for an American style side by side fridge freeze

After issues with my freezer I subscribed to which for a pound on trial. Just been looking myself and the samsungs are rated as the worst there is for reliability by users on there.

I’d steer clear myself judging by some on the reviews. I was suprised to see Beko as second top to siemans.

Cheers, I think I’m going to live with it. The temperatures are correct by thermometer and the compressor is running off and on as it should. The fan is working and both compartments are at the correct temp.

Its the freezer compartment showing plus 11 not -11 that was worrying me. I was worried the unit would be continually running trying to make the lower temp. That doesn’t seem to be the case, if the compressor is switching off?

If I power it down for half hour and turn it on the read out reads correctly but only for about 5 minutes then it reverts back to the 11 degrees.

Not sure on the compressor yet if it’s staying on or cutting out. It feels hot to the touch. The temps using a thermometer are -18 in the freezer and 4 in the fridge.

Yet it still reads 11 degs as the freezer temp digital readout.

Right freezer has been running for 5 hours or so.

Still 11 degrees shown for freezer compartment.

Yet the ice cubes I put in the compartments are frozen.

The Fan is running and the fridge has started to cool.

I never had a temp issue until I defrosted it.

If I do the hold fast freeze open the door, close the door release fast freeze it shows the temps as 9 degrees for the fridge, -15 then -16.

Do I just carry on and ignore the readout thats wrong?

    Re: Hotpoint FFA90 – Icing

Cheers, right I’ve had the freezer running again for two hours now and its seems to be sitting at 11 degress for quite a while beeping away to tell me its not at -18 yet.

How long should it take if I leave it alone to get to -18 again or does it sound like somethings up?

    Re: Hotpoint FFA90 – Icing

Right I defrosted the freezer for 36 odd hours and removed the drip tray at the back. There was some gunge in it but the rubber pipe that goes to the tray is a bit kinked. I’m wondering if the kink could have caused the blockage.

I’ve cleaned the pipe and tray and put it all back together. I’ve had a look in the parts section of the website for the pipe part number. Anyone have any ideas what the part number is?

    Hi,

I’ve been having this same problem in recent weeks and I’ve just done as suggested removed the back panel inside the freezer.

Am I right in assuming the drain hole is the one at the bottom of the evaporator in what looks like a drip tray?

Mine looks about 3/4’s of a inch and is clogged with ice.Excuse the crap picture. I’ve started to defrost my freezer and thats the hole I clear right?
