ParticipantAnd then failed on the next!
I have now replaced the pump which has made no difference and also cleared the drum end of the sump tube where the ball is, again no difference, it is still randomly not draining , sometimes it will go through a wash no problem!
I have just done a ‘quickie’ rinse and spin and i drained it manually when i heard the pump start each time it needed to drain and that got it through the programme.
I could see the pump spinning but it wasnt draining, BUT i have replaced the black rubber tube from the pump to the air chamber which is new too, and i have made sure the external outlet tube is free running, so it is still a complete mystery!!
i think the pump was spinning clockwise and then next time anti clockwise which is wierd, obviously it was too fast to see but from the way the water was moving ( i had the filter cover off by this time!)
I will now swap the control board as there may be a ‘dry joint’ on there which would explain the randomness of this annoying problem!Dave1962
ParticipantHave cleared out the pump vent pipe, and it was gunked up as was the plastic piece it slides onto on the pump,
Replaced the dampers and hooked the springs up a notch on the bracket.
3 washes done and looking good.
Thank you very much for the bits of advice, shame i cant rate your help anywhere!
Thanks again,

ParticipantThanks again, i will have a look.
would you do the springs at the top at the same time?Dave1962
ParticipantHi Dave, sorry for the late reply, ( I have been unwell but now ok and sorted it) and thanks.
It looks to have fixed the problem, i found most of the problem in the plastic pipe on the housing that the rubber pipe slides onto.
I have a problem with unbalance loads (towels mainly) in that the drum bounces around and hits the brake non return valve (some call it the water level air chamber) so hard that it breaks a hole in it and i now need to replace that! (aaaargh!)
Is this a common problem?Dave1962
ParticipantIs that the pressure switch?
I have checked the tube and it is clear, the pressure switch itself looks like its on the motherboard so not replaceable on its own!
