    The end was broken off the plastic cover which protects the wires from the sharp edge on the panel – I trimmed it back, and refitted it sticking out a bit to stop the edge connecting with the wires.

    Good call limiting the number of door ‘events’

    Spot on Dave, one core to the heater broken, the other cut through to the conductor.

    How this never tripped the breaker I don’t know!

    Good call, I guess the PCB sits up at the top of the door where the controls are?

    I’ll check the door hinge area out.

    Hi,

    I have a ADG 7550 with the same symptoms, not heating and 3 flashes.

    However, the heating element bells out at 27 Ohms.

    I presume that the heating element is 240v powered? Is this fused anywhere?
