Re: Indesit Washer Dryer not drying

NTC Thermistor arrived yesterday. It reads 20k at room temperature as expected.
    Fitted and now dryer works.
Thanks everyone for your time and effort. 😀

The wires are not snapped. If I open circuit them I get the F13 fault code after about 10 mins.
Upon removing the NTC thermistor the contacts read 19ohms so I’ll get a replacement.
I’ll let you know if this fixes it.
I’ve ordered C00083915 Indesit NTC Thermistor. Even though my model is not listed it looks like the one I need.

Re: Indesit Washer Dryer not drying

    Thanks Martin and Bob.
It is reading about 30 ohms so I guess the controller thinks it is too hot as it’s an NTC which fits the symptoms.

So what I’ll do is temporarily wire a 47k across the terminals and see if heater comes on during the cycle.
If it does I’ll replace the thermostat.

Of course I’ll switch it off immediately once I know it’s working as I don’t want it to overheat.

I’ll let you know what the outcome is.

    Thanks Martin.
Do I read from your reply that this model doesn’t have a TOC?
Do you know what resistance should I expect from the NTC Thermistor when cold say at room temp 20C?
Are we talking of the same unit. The one I removed to produce the fault is the one with 2 thin blue wires at the front of the machine near to the blown air inlet to the drum.
What resistance value would I have to put across the 2 terminals to force the heater on to test whether the thermistor is at fault?
