    Did a rudimentary check, seemed OK, I assumed that manually operating the pressure switch would eliminate that possibility.
    Is there any sort of timed fill after the pressure switch has activated or other sensor connected with water inlet?

    Yep, done that,clicks immediately. if you blow and hold when machine is filling it stops filling and than starts again after about 5 seconds, release pressure and pressure switch clicks, so no pressure loss there.
    I take it the switch is single level?
