Re: Bosch WFB 2005 washing machine – doesn’t spin

    Hi

The motor isn’t marked as a Ceset or Sole anywhere, as far as I can tell after a close up look. It is marked with the number 492-598.

The only other numerical marking is “129 60006.01”.

The only thing that I can find on the web after a Google search is a description of a “Bosch Siemens motor 492-598” at the following web page: http://www.digisellers.nl/acatalog/webs … en_38.html , but there isn’t an illustration.

Is this info any use in identifying which brushes I need?

I also have digital pictures, if that is of any help. 😕

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Hi

    Thanks for the useful advice.

Greg – the following info was posted inside the door:
    E-Nr WFB2005GB/36
    FD7912 02335
    B0GB 3311
    Type BATIRIS 2

Is there any way of telling whether the motor is a Ceset or Sole from this? If not, its plug out and into the bowels of the machine tomorrow evening.

    Cheers, Dave

    Thanks for your advice, Penguin.
On opening up the rear cover I noticed that the plastic covering had unclipped from an in-line spade connector on a live wire to the heater element. I’m guessing that the exposed metal spade connector was shorting out on the rear cover, as fixing the insulative covering has sorted the problem.
    Another problem sorted!
