Hi all,
It’s a WD71 hotpoint Aquarius washer dryer. From my description, what are the chances of this being the seal?
Do we have the necessary part and info on fitting on this site?
Thanks,

Thanks! I’ll check that out when I get to the flat.
I know what you mean. Definitely can see that someone has been rather haphazard with their loading method! 😆

Guys, it worked a treat. Many thanks for all your help with this.
Hopefully won’t need to hit these forums for a while but also, maybe this will help someone else with a W123 problem like mine.
Thanks again!

Thanks.
Ok, sounds like i should go ahead and invest in said brushes, give them a shot. I’ll update once I have them and fit.
Just a side note, do you know if this comes as a pair? or do I have to order 2?
Cheers,

Thanks,
I’ve removed them and not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure how to check but basically, they are spring loaded and I believe should be quite long. They are VERY short. I think they get shorter as they wear, is that correct?
If they are not making correct contact to the part of the motor that they should be, would this make the machine fail to do anything after its locked the door? I’m asking this because usually the first thing that happens is the drawer begins to flood. I’d expect that to happen even if the motor isnt working?
Thanks guys,
Dave.daviejam

Thanks guys,
This is the ones I believe that I need? The Motor has written on it: INDESCO 2040M3 1200. I don’t know if this is relevant.
If this is what I need, I’ll buy the parts and the cleaning tool mentioned. Then hopefully I’ll be back in business.
Cheers,

Ok,
removed the contraption off the back end of the filter. Looked like a pump. Once off, cleared out a shirt collar stiffener and then I could unscrew the filter from the front.
Put it all back together again, turned it on at a program and its the same as before. LED flashes as if to start program, then stops flashing and stays solid, door locks and nothing else.
Any thoughts on where I go from here? Have i removed the right thing? Is there anywhere else that would be blocked?
Cheers,

Oh smashing!
I’ll tackle it tomorrow first thing. Is it easy to remove it? Will I be cleaning it out from the opposite end in that case?
Total novice, this is my first washing machine, inherited from the previous owner of my flat 🙂
