ParticipantMy last ditch attempt I think – its been on its back for 2 weeks in the middle of the kitchen ( that’s the dishwasher and not me ! ) and I’m getting too much grief now lol
If I can’t find the fault I will simply need to try and buy a new one but before I do – can anyone help me with the above ? If it gets me to a fixed dishwasher I’m happy to bung some beer money someones way !!
I apologise that I will bump my other post too which is about the same appliance but going down a slightly different tact.
Thanks for all the help so far

Just a final thank you to Iadom, the replacement rear fan arrived today, all fitted in around 15mins and all working again with no noise – thank you !
Also ordered the part from UK Whitewoods – excellent service, fast delivery and cheapest I could find. I must admit though I have used this forum before and I didn’t even realised they sold parts until someone mentioned it – maybe they need to do a tad more advertising on the forum pages.

Ah – you mean “you should check for a loose rear fan, it’s behind the rear cover.” lol 😛
You couldn’t have been much clearer…anyway, took the back of and the spine of that fan was cracked and not gripping, so I will order and new one and hopefully that will be the issue
Thanks again – your a star !

Thanks Iadom,
I can find details of the fan at the side of the drier as in this picture
But I can’t seem to find anything online about the rear one – is it easy to access and change ? Of course everyone says unplug the unit before opening it up, but of course that makes it really difficult to determine where the fault is. I assume as long as I don’t touch any of the internal parts its pretty safe to run it with the side panel off ?
Do you think it will be fairly obvious if it is the fan when I look at it or will I only tell by running it
Thanks

Brilliant – thank you again. I sorted the attachment out, it opened up in a small window but i then could click on it and scroll around – so all worked in the end. I will attach the sensor and then replace the rear thermostats and see if that sorts the issue

Many thanks for your reply and taking the time to upload that diagram. Unfortunately I can’t blow it up enough to read it without it distorting to a point that its a blur.
So just to clarify ( if you would be good enough ) I have obtained a new plastic piece and inserted the thread through the drum as can be seen in the attached photo. I assume its simply a nut to secure this in place, its not connected or wired in to anything. I assume its connection with the band going around the drum is enough for it to do whatever it is meant to do ?
Thanks again

Sorry ! It took me so long to reduce the picture size to a point at which they were acceptable I missed the obvious !
It’s a hotpoint tdc62s condenser dryer
