The screws were changed more in desperation really, So how much should I be paying for one of these. and is it worth carring on with it. if I buy this could it be somthing else bearing in mind I have replaced the PCB and pump so far.
Also, I payed for the man from the shop to come out,his advise was that it could be the pcb or a numer of other things, he said that he would replace the machine due to the age, should he know what the problem is, he wasnt very specific. Thanks dcfan

I have taken a photo of the pressure switch, see below, there are numbers on the terminal ends but they dont seem to tie in with any of the numbers on the switch red= BRC 10 the wire has P24 printed on it, Black= BRC 11 the wires have P11 printed on it, Grey= BRC 4 the wires have P13 printed on it.
I sadly sat through a full wash yesterday and noticed when it gets to the rinse cycle it takes in cold water for approx 5 secs, nowhere else in the wash does it attempt to take water in. I dont think the wires have been put back incorrect, but I am now starting to question myself, can someone confirm from the photo if this looks coorect. I threw the piece of paper with my notes on away. thanks again for your help,

I had set the temperature to 0 before, I am 99 {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} that the wiring is ok, as I noted the order they were in before removing them, Although I could have made a mistake so will check again. I know the Switch is embossed with numbers, not sure about the wires though.
will check.

Hi dave, this might also be relevant but we have been using the
washing mashine by manualy filling it with a pipe from the tap. I have noticed that he washer wont go into a fast spin. the machine goes all the way through the cycle. the washing has come out soaking. I havnt checked this since installing the new PCB. could this still be the Pressure switch.dcfan

Well here i am still no washer, Although I thought it could be the PCB I called in the a local repairer from the shop I bought my spares from.
He checked the Washer over and decided that it could be the pcb but advised that I get a new washer due to its age. I decided to order a PCB instead due to a shortage of cash and hoped the Washer would last a couple of months. wrong decision!! , I replaced the PCB this morning and guess what no water! Even though the shop think that the pressure switch is ok (it was checked off the Washer in the shop) could it still be this. can anyone advise what to check now, before I finally give up. I would have thought the repairer could have given be definate answer as to where the fault lies but they were not specific. any ideas would be greatfully received.
Thanks,dcfan

I did previously remove the whole unit that holds the filter and cleaned it through, I also removed a large piece of rubber pipe that goes/feeds to the under side of the drum and to the filter unit, also a smaller piece of pipe feeds from this to the pressure switch, I am guessing that the larger piece of rubber feeding into the underside of the drum is the pressure chamber.
I will check this again, can you confirm that I am checking in the right place please.
Also this may be a stupid question, but if I removed the small piece of rubber pipe from the pressure switch/chamber (as a test), should it start to draw in water, my thinking is that it would fool the pressure switch into thinking that the machine was empty.
thanks,

Thanks Dave,
I think your right, without being sure, I could be wasting more cash on the wrong part, although if the local supplier hadnt have said they thought the pressure switch was ok then I would have been almost sure this was the cause, I dont know if this makes a difference, but the filter was also quite blocked and there seemed to be a lot of scale build up so I cleaned it and put some calgon in the machine, after this the machine stopped filling. I checked all the pipes by blowing through them. still think it could be the pressure switch but as i’ve said before i’m no expert. once again thanks for your help, I think this forums great, I wouldnt have got as far with out the advice. -
