Martin and BBD: Thank you both very much for that useful advice, and for posting it so quickly. Your posts were reassuring, so we went ahead and ordered an SMS65E22GB. Slowly getting to grips with the programmes etc. So far we’re quite impressed with the machine, though much less impressed with the instructions !

Apologies for not posting this earlier, but have been having PC problems in addition to appliance ones . . .
