Penguin45. :
Looking at the new switch just received I can see that there are 4 lugs and the release tab mentioned above.
DISCONNECT FROM THE MAINS FOR SAFETY FIRST
From inside the machine the there is a Plastic locking TAB in the centre at the top of the Switch which needs to released towards the back of the machine ❗ and lift the whole switch upwards about about 10mm and pull out. The New Switch fitting is a reversal of this and you should hear a click when the Release tab has locked into place. Now One happy Owner; 😀 Also discovered the machine is older than I thought. First fault since purchase in March 1998. So pretty good service so far.
Many Thanks to The Penquin and Jim for your help.

I would like to try if the Machine fills with water or the spin cycle if this is possible, or do I have to replace the switch first before going ahead?
Thanks Penguin 45
Thanks Penquin45 and Jim : Can’t quite figure out how the ON/OFF switch comes out; I can see 4 corner lugs but it won’t release, unless I am overlooking something else !!
