    Hi, thanks for the reply.
    I’ve done a bit of research to see what’s involved in replacing the stat and, as it involves pulling the oven out and dismantling it, I can’t do that as I’m not physically able.
    My wife wants a new kitchen next year so I don’t want to spend money getting it repaired or replaced until then but I had a thought about making it work ‘normally’ until then. If I snip the wire connecting the sensor will it allow the grill to function without cutting out? I realise that it is also an oven but I never use it as that.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply. Would the fact that the grill is switching off not suggest that the stat is working? Also, is it usual for a grill to have a stat control? I’ve never come across a grill that did this before.
