Ian, thanks so much for checking this out for me.

Is the fan element used in convection mode and is only the fan element used in fan mode? What’s strange is that it takes so long to heat up in fan mode but there is heat … it’s not like the fan element has gone completely. The top element works fine (it’s exposed in the oven and I can see it red hot. So, I’m guessing the bottom element is the one that’s gone, along with the thermostat which does work but clearly not correctly . . .

Anyway, can’t find a PNC number. Sticker on the door jam has the following:

AEG Mod. B 2.60 D w E Nr 611 565 928 F.NR. 127042626
