thx for reply,
heating element- yep, happy to replace if required (i’m hoping this is the most obvious fault.
dry joints on comp board-could you elaborate, sounds cheaper so should investigate further, ie access, what to check for etc.
thanks in advance. dippy61dippy61

doh,
when replacing the pump, the door lock sensor came adrift, took the engineer 10 seconds to fix, £61 call out nice doing business with u guv.
Anyway all sorted and I think the 3 x pumps in 3 years is 1/ washer/dryer and 2/ aeg washer but zanussi parts (could have saved £300 and just got a zanussi).
Many thx for replies and full marks for the site.

sorry, also it does not flash any error sequence, just keeps clicking and start button flashes red/green.

the water wasn’t pumping away, but would empty when the hose was emptied into a bucket. The machine is only 3 years old and is now on 3rd pump.
After changing pump I selected a wash program but before I even select the start button it keeps clicking and the program will not commence, do you think this is connected or is another issue. -
