    Looks like it would be something like up to £160 parts and labour according to the which website. Might be best just to buy a new dishwasher in that case. Not prepared to DIY when water and electronics are involved.

    We live in a hard water area. Error 9 seems to be a common complaint as well as error 15. Might be grounds for a claim of defective manufacturing with the retailer since some of the dishwashers are failing after only 2 or 3 years and this apparently does not seem linked to failing to use salt in some cases.

    Hi Martin,

    Thanks for getting back to me quickly.

    Absolutely been putting salt in the dishwasher regularly. Is it is possible that it could be the thermostat/circuit board/heat pump rather than the heating element?

    The dishwasher is less than 3 years old.
