Ok. It’s corroded just as you said. I opened it up and had a look. I think the switch you mean is the one located beneath the control panel that is a grey box with a white stick sticking down next to the drum right? I had a look at it but I couldn’t see any terminals. Its just plastic.
Are you sure this sounds like a balance switch problem? It starts and stops when filling at the start of the cycle? It wouldn’t be rotating at this time would it?
