Thank you very much for your prompt response – your explanation has certainly clarified a lot of what I didn’t understand. 😀

The drain pump impellar is proving difficult to access. The screw heads are damaged and there isn’t much thread.

In your opinion, is it worth paying out for a repair?

Also, I have another issue of odour, obviously due to the water sitting in the base.
