Well, I did go shopping with my tape measure yesterday. I couldn’t find that particular LG anywhere in the local area, but I did find one of their washing machines that also claimed to be 64cm deep. In fact, if you measure from the back of a bulge on the back to the front of the door, it is 69cm…

I guess that’s that one ruled out. AEG it is.

I’ve been looking at that LG this afternoon. One question I have though – is the 64cm depth with or without the supply hose? Because my space is exactly 64cm deep…

I think there is an AEG and an LG with similar features at around that level.

Well, if the article in question was one of the sheets then that’s also not good.

I almost certainly will get my money back. What do people recommend with the same features in the same price range? I want 1400+ spin, quiet motor and AAA rating if possible.

Yes it has. In fact that happened with the first machine I had – the installer left one of the plugs that should have gone in the transit bolt holes in there.

As soon as I saw this happen this morning, my first thought was “it’s happened again”. So I ran my finger around and found nothing except worn rubber.

That’s interesting if it is. The serial numbers on this machine and the previous one I had are 5 weeks apart on the manufacturing date.

It doesn’t really explain the rubber beading problem though.
