ParticipantWould be, yes. It’s all down to the error correction although ADSL has other tricks up it’s sleeve as it can monitor line noise and alter the transmission rate for best results, minimising retrys.
/or are you talking about the way the data signal is superimposed over the voice then filtered off?

ParticipantDuff filter block or iffy earth, I’d think. Unfortunately, digital transmissions can be more affected by RFI as any disturbance loses a whole packet of info…

ParticipantSome questions:
Is in the kitchen or a garage?
Which setting did your try for sensor-dry?
And are you using the cotton or synthetic drying cycle?I’ve got a 1480 (basically the same machine) and I’d tend to say you shouldn’t expect perfect drying in only an hour anyway…

ParticipantFunnily enough, I noticed the local radio station running ads for Miele dishwashing/laundry and vacuums today. Odd for a whitegoods maker/ importer to advertise direct, no?
Perhaps they feel a bit shy of market share…dpm
ParticipantFG means Frame Ground (earth) in anything I’ve ever seen, maybe r600a can confirm.

I don’t think they were UK market products at all, plenty foreign lingo on the box and a dissolving sachet around a (IIRC) 2in1 tab…

ParticipantIsn’t it a good thing Joe Lucas didn’t make washing machines?
But that magic smoke stuff. Isn’t that an isomer of the Dark that Dark-suckers capture?

ParticipantOTOH it’s the surge on mains switch-on that kills a lot of kit…

ParticipantIs this freezer an Ignis clone? If so, I had one die recently, failing insulation on the top of the unit caused condensate to make it’s way along the extension shaft for the thermostat, water corroding the PCB at the front and the thermostat at the rear (under the L-shaped cover.
If there’s any sign of the same kind of water build up, the unit is scrap IMHO.

ParticipantMost systems constantly monitor the speed of the drive motor and see OOB as a cyclic change in it’s speed…

ParticipantNeutral and earth are meant to be tied at either the substation or the supply fuse, and the Martindale is looking for that condition to be satisfied.

ParticipantHas he earthed it?

ParticipantYou could certainly limit the existing heater with some kind of series-connected load, either resistive, a high-power diode, or even a dimmer/ speedcontrol of a suitable type.
But a modification like that isn’t something you’re going to get detailed advice on round these parts methinks. -
