ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZBQ965 inner grill not working
Thanks for your help so far.
I did have to take the whole oven unit out to release it from the back.
I managed to get hold of a second hand grill element on ebay that said it was the model that you quoted. Having fitted it, both elements do work, although it now appears that the oven fan doesn’t any more, whereas I think it did when the old element was in it.
One difference that I’ve noticed between the old element and the new element is that on the old element two of the prongs were connected together whereas on the new one all four prongs are completely separate. Is the connecting together of the two prongs what was allowing the fan to work?
Thanks and regards,

ParticipantRe: WFO2465GB/01 stopped working completely
Thanks for the information. So if it is an electrical problem, how expensive is it likely to be to fix up? Are the parts expensive, or would the expensive part be diagnosing the problem part?
Thanks a lot,

Thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately your reply leads me on to more questions 😉
1. Is elements popping a fairly usual occurrence?
2. Do both elements need replacing at the same time, even if the outer one works fine?
3. Is fitting a new element something that is safe for me to do? If so, how does one go about it?Thanks so much,

ParticipantRe: Separating Whirlpool BSO801 inner glass
After my initial attempt to remove the door following your advice failed, and then some procrastination (I don’t like DIY…) I tried again and discovered that there were three screws holding the handle to the inner door. Once I removed those I got the inner and outer door apart. I’ve got some glue and now I just have to attempt the scary thing of sticking the inner door back together. I have two questions however:
1. How long does the glue need to be left before it is ready for use?
2. Does the outer glass need to be sealed as well? There seems to be some sort of spongy material attached to it, but I don’t know if that’s padding to stop the inner door metal rim from scratching the glass. It doesn’t seem to peel off like the inner door seal did…Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

OK, thanks. I’ll see if I can give that a try tonight. I did manage to find the screws before, but when I unscrewed them, I couldn’t figure out what they unfixed!
