P.s. Forgot to say, I did a maintenance wash today to check it out and it isn’t heating the water at all.

Secondly, I caught my daughter playing with the panel and it went into program mode, could she have switched it off perhaps? Is there a reset to send it back to default perhaps?

    Thanks

Cheers Dave, thats reassuring. How do I find out about it’s construction? Is there a way to tell?

    Cheers Dave,

Do you happen to know any other info about it? Is it any good in comparison? The dishwasher is the thing I’ve looked at that I can save cash on, however they don’t have the 5 year warranty so maybe it’s better to go with the IKEA?

    Thanks!

Re: ISE 10 1606W Front Door Panel?

In relation to my last question, aside from educated guesses on how long the ISE spares situation for the 1606W will hold out? Can anyone from the trade forums offer any insight to what might be expected to fail so I can stock up when I get chance.

Hopefully by now after them being in service for 8 years or so there should be some feedback on what is tending to go wrong in normal service. PM me if you’d prefer but I would really appreciate some help if that’s possible.

    Thanks so much all.

Cheers electrofix, yeah he has got back to me so we shall see. The option you mentioned might be an idea actually although I’ve also had the idea of trying to put a new kitchen door on it instead possibly, or at least a veneer.

We shall see! Thanks for getting back to me though. Anyone have any ideas how much longer the spare situation will hold out?

Re: ISE 10 – Need to sell it, can I do that on here?

Hi mate, I’m in Leicestershire just off junction 22 of the M1 or Junction 13 of the A42. Might be a bit far from Hampshire! I’m not sure on price yet tbh I was hoping some forumites could suggest a sensible price range. Although I was thinking around £400?

I’m hoping to line up the deal and sell it around the last 2 weeks of October.

Let me know what you think? !

    Cheers 🙂

Cheers Ken, shame about the warranty though 🙁

    Any takers out there? 🙂

    Hi drummonkey,

This makes me think you have one clever fiancee! 😆

    Best wishes and kind regards

( 💡 And now for a cunning plan, apart from the tv, hi-fi and pc I’ll be having trouble using the other appliances round the home!! 😉 )

    Lol 😆

You may be on to something there!!!

I kinda like vacuuming, its a bit like mowing lawns which I also like in a weird kinda way!!

    Cheers,

    Re: Which Vacuum Cleaner?

Hi guys thanks for the advice, I shall update you on the saga eventually once we’re sorted. Although I can see us heading for a Miele upright now but I’m not certain yet!

In answer to some of the questions, I’m not sure where I purchased it now but it was from someone based in Leicestershire that much I can remember.

I don’t use the long hose as even I think thats a pain in the ass :eeek: it hangs off the vacuum when not in use and has a tendency to come off when used.

I do agree with her that it is a design flaw, I also think strangely enough that being left handed (as she is) doesn’t help (well being marked by the devil could do anyones head in 😉 ) but i’m loathe to splash out the cash on another one when like you say this is one of the best out there.

We shall see, in the mean time, I’m doing all the vacuum cleaning now and to be honest I do a better job so that may well be the best solution!!

    Cheers

    Re: Which Vacuum Cleaner?

Hi there, back again!! Right I did mean to place an update on here once I’d made my punt for a new vacuum cleaner but unfortunately I never got round to buying one until 2 months ago (due to finances etc..), sorry 😥

So I thought I’d come on and update you with how pleased I am with the Sebo X4 Extra I bought over a month ago, how well it cleans, how quiet it is in comparison to my old vacuum, when………………………. my fiancee decides to shoot me down and tell me I have to buy another vacuum as she absolutely hates it.

The reason? The infuriating way that the vacuum falls over when using the hose, and the fact that when it falls it has a tendency to hit her straight in the head (she tends to kneel down rather than bend her back when using the hose). Now I tried to explain that she may have to adjust her technique now (as I have) to no avail and also explain that despite the 1 design flaw its a great product but again, no joy. So it has to go I’m afraid, I can’t argue this one unfortunately!!. Therefore I’m after 2 bits of advice really guys if you could so kindly help restore domestic bliss? !!!

    1) What should I buy instead? I’m thinking cylinder (Sebo D2-4 or K3-4) or a Miele S7 upright or cylinder. Really liking the look of the Sebo D4 actually, how do cylinders/uprights compare in terms of performance?

    2) Can I return my Sebo X4 Extra now its over 2 months old or am I stuck with having to sell it privately now?

Cheers for your help as ever guys:)

Re: ISE 10 1606W Rinse Settings

Sorry to be a pain but thought I’d say!

I’ve just tried to set the super-rinse function but on entering the program mode, and pressing the delay start button, nothing happened! The program select dial is all lit and the 5 lights on the start/stop dial are all lit but nothing on the temp/delay start dial. I’m assuming this means I can’t change this setting? Hopefully my machine is ok too as I accidently pressed the temperature setting but nothing lit up?

Cheers for this and thanks again,

    Cheers K,

I shall give it a try, thanks again for your invaluable assistance. I must say it is great being able to post on here about such mundane things as spin settings, and have you guys reply straightaway! If I had punted for a cheaper machine a year and a half ago, I’d probably be on the phone to a call centre, on hold, with a broken machine by now!!

    Cheers,

Re: ISE 10 1606W Rinse Settings

    Hi Ken,

sorry to be such a pain, the changing of the default spin settings explanation is very straightforward. However the one below it, Super Rinse or Delayed Start, doesn’t really explain itself all that well!! What would I be changing by adjusting that setting? Does it mean I can trade delayed start for a super rinse? If so what is a Super Rinse?!!

Cheers for your kind help as always,

    Alan
