    Yes. Hundreds that are not the same fault.

    Thank you for the reassurance. Seeing the melted plastic had me worried.

    The middle section is cool to the touch.

    The original fault was that the unit was tripping out the RCD. The water dispenser had stopped working a while ago, and I’d thought nothing of it. But when I dismantled the fridge, everything was iced up.

    One concern is that the panel that covers the heater had a melted section in the plastic.

    It’s down to 6 now on the display, by the way, after being on Power Cool.
    In contrast, the freezer (on Power Cool) is still on 8.

    Hi Bryan,
    Thank you for the rapid reply. I fitted it this evening.
    My worry wasn’t so much that the temperature wasn’t going down, it’s that it was rocketing. When I plugged in the fridge the readout said 20, but within five minutes it was up to 30.
    I’m pretty confident I fitted all the parts, in the correct positions.
    Which sensor controls the temperature readout?
