ParticipantRe: Anyone got a good thing to say about……
Hey gents, thanks for putting my mind at rest!!
Just done the first maintenance wash with a dab of bleach so that should be ok for a week or 2.
Is it fair to say the Bosch is better that the standard Beko I had?
Cheers all

ill end up filling it with bleach 😳 :rolls:Don’t do that – you wouldn’t believe how far the bubbles can carry……..
The brown substance is a resin compound, which softens the water. You add salt to it to re-ionose it and keep it working efficiently. Leave it absolutely alone.

OK Penguin45 and others….
Thanks for that!

To be honest the problem was a dodgy water inlet but while sorting that out I noticed this thing pictured above looked really disgusting and dirty. Problem is I’m a clean freak, if I don’t change it ill end up filling it with bleach 😳 :rolls:

OK that’s great stuff. Not wanting to sound thick but what does it do, should it look that dirty and lastly, replace or bleach overnight?

So if I tried the power wires in reverse on the solenoid it wouldn’t go bang right?

ParticipantRe: Anyone good with fault diagnosis?
Just thought id let you chap know I GOT SERVICE BEFORE THE 3 WEEK WAITING PERIOD!!!!
The learch has just left. Trying to make conversation I asked …Is this a common problem to which he replied, Ive never seen this problem before, then went immediately to a PCB under the machine labeled MINISEL with a production date of 15/05/2007 and replaced it with a new one 😆
I suspect the problem came about with a scorch mark on one of the solder contacts, although strange as it may seem this PCB looks like its had previous soldering work done to it 😯
NEW machine, I suspect NOT! 👿
Im getting this fecker insured, 60-93 quid for the module that went down! OMG ive gone dizzy! 😯 😕

Penguin45 wrote:It’s an endemic problem, Dusty, and one that the Whitegoods Trade Association is looking to address. As your appliance is under guarantee, this is not something that you need worry about at present, although the long term prognosis with these machines is likely to cost you a few bob after the warranty period.
When you come to buy your next appliance, have a look at out own machines, the ISEs. http://www.iseappliances.co.uk is where you can find them – note the section on spares policy – we will pass spares on without a mark up. Bear in mind that our manufacturers will supply them to us with a mark up, but ISE won’t. Begs the question about what things really cost…….
Still, we’re doing what we can. 😀

Interesting, but for now what would you say is the most reliable and cheapest to repair washing machine on the market today?Dusty321

I agree, but surely its not just Servis that rip consumers off with high spare part prices…..?

I would recommend some type of large trebuchet?
OR a lump hammer, TNT, swimming pool, bin wagon, angle grinder…. the list goes on and on :rolls:One has learned 2 thing today, don’t buy Servis and don’t mention the brand on this forum 😯
