Re: Hotpoint washer 1 minute left

Hi Johnny thanks for reply again, what do you mean by drain hose to low? If it’s too low would it just gravity drain constantly?

I got the answer….petrol is cheap, maybe I should just torch torch it! lol. But then that would be giving up…and I aint doing it!!

Hi Johnny, thanks for reply….will double check heater, maybe it’s leakage rather than failure that’s causing the problem. A nice error code would help though, crappy software developers if it can’t detect an error on the heating element!

    Will advise

    BTW

When i posted this the “related topics” showed another thread for similar problem. The heater element, well it does heat but will check insulation to make sure & advise.

Re: candy DYN9144dg-L1-80 dor lock led flashing

Only done Hoover on these but there is 2 types with DC motor, please bare in mind I am only a young pup in this game (sadly not in age)

Type 1: Main PCB at top with lower BR board with separate display board.

Type 2: Main PCB at bottom with BR board also at bottom again separate display board.

Main PCB board need to be repaired on both TYPES, you WILL see track damage!

It’s Saturday and I do like a drink on Saturday so if I misunderstood please forgive me, but a display board is not required.

    Hope that helps

Think it was RS or Farnell but cant remember which one, I try to collect good boards when I can, saves me the hassle & that stupid sticky heat sink paste all over me hands!

Just got another of these door lock probs yesterday, see at least 1 a week now.

    Sorry for delay Kieran,

Replace the lower BR board & repaired tracks on top. Motor always appears ok when I have seen this. Cheap BR’s i think so just component failure like the indesit C17.

Note: sometimes it’s just the BR thats blown, others it takes out the tracks. BR’s about £2.50 & tracks can be repaired easily.

    Re: Partfinder

So what I do now is the only way it would appear, read the firmware from the old PCB & reflash the replacement. Eventually I will have all firmware tied to the PCB part no / machine model no.
I was hoping for a easier way, taking the laptop on site is a little slow but I shall have to do for now.

Yeah was in Royton on Sunday & pretty white then….then again, it’s snows up there in August (lol)

Anyway, I will now carry a couple of the old type springs just in case.

Just thought…maybe it’s intended to help the counter balance from falling off, yeah method in the madness after all!

    Re: SIEMENS WT46W560GB COND DRYER

For any future viewers of this post………

Dry joint on facia PCB connection for reservoir full sensor.
Before compressor kicks in, machine must test for water overfill, if ok the compressor starts.
What I don’t get is, it’s looking for a return from the sensor (well prongs) ie the water conducts electricity so a return is sensed, a dry joint should have made the dryer never sense an overfill….BUT IT WORKED!
    Time for Ebay one thinks.

    Re: Partfinder

OK thanks. It ain’t much use for me then, asking someone over the phone “can you tell if the case has a removable front or welded, induction or brushed motor, split or welded drum”. The only way would be by the part number on the PCB case making partfinder redundent for this purpose.

…..does partfinder list all the options for parts on a specific model?

Usually DC motor type does this, bridge rectifier blows on lower PCB. Will also need tracks repaired on upper main PCB/controller. Done several on Hoover DYN’s

when 1st put on after 2-3 mins bottle full indicator lights up and unit stops .

switch on and off – then unit runs perfect the appliance is spotless no build up of fluff etc customer takes good care of it

i was thinking poss pcb issue ,

    any advice appreciated

    cheers ally

funkyboogy wondered if you ever sorted this, got 1 the same. Appears as soon as compressor kicks in I get bottle full. Mine does this all the time don’t matter how many times I switch it off and on. Maybe it’s time to RIP for this beauty! Not good for the enviroment or the wallet though.
