Given that the displaced, banging, concrete weight has put a large dent in the outer panelling of the machine – and has started to dig a hole in the concrete floor beneath the machine – I think it’s more than likely that the fixing brackets/posts have been bent right out of shape…

So a new machine it is…

I’ll probably buy the cheapest washer in Currys (a Beko something or other…)

I know it’s a false economy, but I’m in an unusual domestic situation, with an absent landlord who should be sorting out things like this, but who isn’t. Me and my flatmate need to wash our clothes, and don’t have the cash for a decent machine. A 12 month guarantee gives some piece of mind, I guess.
