Think I’ve found the fault, It’s the water solonoid valve!
As you know the water splits into two valves, one for the ice and one for the water, the ice one measure around 1500R and the water one is open circuit. How could I, joe-public get a replacement?

how do you remove the pipes from the storage tank so i can let it defrost?
We’ve never had any fan noise, but I’d like to to check it, would it be behind the water tank?

Thanks for your reply.
Removed the lower grill with the 3 screws and found the water pipe connector. removed the pipe and no water flowed when pressing the paddle.
What would be my next move?

Morning all
Just had the fridge off for 24hrs now, powered back up but still no water dispenser! Since there’s a microswitch on the water dispenser paddle I assume there must be a solonoid valve somewhere, would this be my next move?

Can’t live without the fridge being on, I’ve got no where else for the food to live. Can you tell me where the tank is located, maybe i can defrost it with a hairdryer?

The dispenser arm is intact and and actuates the microswitch correctly, I can here it clicking, but no water dispensed. So I thought there must be a electric solonoid valve somewhere, although having thought about it could it be that water has just frozen in the pipe blocking the flow?

OK got the fascia off, sorted out my broken bracket. Paddle all OK mechanically and actuates the microswitch OK. However not water is dispensed! microswitch checked out OK with meter. I guess there’s a water solonoid valve somewhere, would this be suspect?

BiggerD did you get the front bezel off? how do you think its sercured just by a couple of lugs on each side?

Changing the whole door seems crazy just because Samsung un-engineered what appears to be a common fault. Today I made a new bracket out of Nylon rod, Drimmelled away the old bracket and have just superglued it in place, hopefully this will work.
If not, I have a back-up plan!
