Re: Induction hobs and built-under ovens

    Hi Don

Neff just said that if you don’t use a 50mm worktop then add the difference to the space e.g. 40mm worktop needs additional 10mm space between the oven.

The only question will be how this affects the allignment of the oven with the rest of the base unit doors? Will have to suck it & see.

Does seem stupid for a company to design two compatible products that have these constraints (both oven and hob are Neff)? Nowhere on any of the product information available when purchasing (from different online suppliers) made any mention!

The pleasures of saying you’d fit your son’s new kitchen.

Yes, many thanks. Neff helpline confirm that you need to ensure the gap between the top of the worktop and the oven.

That shouldn’t be a problem, as the Neff oven can either mount in a cabinet or on the runners supplied between two cabinets (we have the latter).

There is a separate 6mm cable for the hob and another for the double built-under oven, which I assume is okay? Both go to their own breaker on the consumer unit.
