ParticipantHi Dave, I think that’s the sensor I already replaced. Anyhow, I refitted the felt ring around the drum at the rear which had torn apart and fallen off and that seems to have fixed it. I’m annoyed I didn’t do this before spending £100 on parts but we learn! At least it’s working now.
one small thing, when I detached the drum I found a small pin with a moveable T fastener and a spring on the floor. Any ideas where this could have come from?
Thanks for your help.

ParticipantThanks Dave. Is that a different sensor to the heater element sensor probe as I’ve already replaced that one?

ParticipantI have been testing it with wet towels in. Do you have any other thoughts?
Thanks

ParticipantSorry, missed the second part of your answer. I don’t think there’s a timed mode, only degrees of dryness on the rotary dial. Am I missing something?
cheers

ParticipantHi Dave,
it’s about 5 to ten seconds. I have put the covers back on and it seems to be the same, although of course I can’t check but it doesn’t heat the drum.
Thanks
