ParticipantRe: Cheap dishwasher
Thanks Don!
Last question, do you think the lid will come off it?!

Ok Don.
Any bargains out there in the £200-£250 price bracket that I can have before Christmas?
🙂

I meant the actual dishwasher, in your shop! Of the shop linked to on your profile anyhow…

Hi Don,
Don’t suppose you know if the top of the Goronge can be removed to fit under my worktop?

Thanks Don,
Tbh we’ve already lost the in built look with a dishwasher I installed. It too was slightly too tall to fit under the worktop so I removed the ‘lid’ (top piece) and it fitted in.
I’m wondering if this would be possible with the Bosch you linked to? I only need to lose about 16mm, do you think this could be done by removing the feet perhaps?
Failing that I’ll have to find a free standing unit that is no taller than 832mm.

Hmm.
Its the height that’s the problem with the Bosch that Don linked to, it’s height being stated as 848mm.
My available space is about 832mm.
There’s nothing I could remove or modify is there?!?!

Damn it!
It wont fit!!!
It needs to be an integrated model

Thanks, most informative guys.
I suppose there’s no guarantee that a £400 machine will last any longer than a £200 machine. I just think with the excessive usage it will get then I’m more inclined to go for a make with positive reviews. Although, it’s all opinion in the end and all manufacturers will have good & bad reviews.
The Bosch linked by Don from appliance world is currently winning though!
Thanks guys.

ParticipantRe: ISE 5 – problem.
quick update…
a weeks worth of washing later and everything is ok. no puddles to report of, so it appears as tho the outlet pipe was to blame.
had the machine about a month now and would deffo recommend them.

ParticipantRe: ISE 5 – problem.
just completed a programme 4 wash with no leaks.
i did make some tweaks to the outlet pipe this morn after i noticed it was slightly damp. not the outlet pipe from the machine, the outlet pipe that the hose goes into.
so i’ll refrain from calling the engineer out at the mo and hope it was the outlet pipe responsible for the puddle. i suspect it was as these machines have no history of leakage!
i’ll keep ya posted if anything changes.
