🙁 Final update on this one…….engineer out today……result, one dead fridge.

Apparently my problem is that the compressor has run too hot, vapourised some oil which has got into the refrigerant, and then cooled somewhere in the pipework. This is causing a blockage and as such the thermostat isn’t getting the right readings, and therefore fridge has been working overtime. Because it is using R1348 gas and not R600a, this is not worth fixing.

So, I’m off to buy another fridge.
