    So…

I have the MIELE KTN4582 SDed which is similar if not the same as Liebherr 4653/4753

I have tested the temperature sensors in the fridge and freezer area and they are OK
I have tested the fans and both work fine (Freezer and Fridge dynacool)
I have measured the Def-frost element and it gave a solid 590 Ohm and the “thermal” part next to the temperature sensor was a closed circuit (0 Ohm)

As stated, the problem are (in my opinion) big temperature variations

Could the de-frost element have anything to do with that?
Any older model owners, have you noticed your compressor running time? Or temperature variation?

Hi Tony, is the evaporator sensor that is in the fridge area (behind the light) responsible for understanding that the rear wall of the fridge has defrosted? And also, is this the one responsible to turn on the compressor when temperature rises too much? Or the open/close are also dependent on other sensors or the defrost system or ?

Hi Tony, thanks! I have replaced the sensor and the beeping and flashing is gone!

But…. after starting the device again, it started to work (compressor) and everything started to cool down. I have placed digital thermometers in both sections, so I have checked and after 4-5 hours of continous running, the freezer showed -26 deg while the fridge was down to 0 deg Celcius… So I lowered the temperatrure switch (to higher temperature) and the compressor stopped… Unfortunately, now there are 4 hours gone and still the temperatures are rising (freezer -14 and fridge 8) and the device does not start…. Any indication on what could be wrong? It seems as the temperature does not enforce the system to start running again…. I even left the doors open for 3-4 minutes and still the compressor is not starting….

Hi, thanks, MIELE KTN 4582 SD ed
    Nr. 65/058091283
    Index 21A
    182

Can you advise on where the sensor is located? Fridge or Freezer area?
Also, since the device is ~15 years old and in the last 5 years I need to manually de-frost due to ice build-up, maybe there is somehing wrong with the de-frost system (thermostat or other)? Or the evaporator sensor is also related to this function?

    Thanks again
