ParticipantHi Dave,
New part arrived and installed today and issue sorted. When removed is could see minor corrosion on board where power and program buttons join to board, looks like the buttons where shorting each other. Thanks for all the help.

ParticipantThat’s the one, you’re a legend, thank you, will let you know if it fixes my problem…. Searching by whirlpool I found nothing, should have been trying hotpoint 🙂

ParticipantThanks Dave, see below, I’ve spotted the part on a site or two but all saying ‘no longer available’ …never a good sign

ParticipantMy thoughts exactly, thanks Dave, can’t find any online, will try my local parts place after the Easter break. Thanks for the help.

ParticipantBone dry, no signs of any water damage. The module with the on/off button and program button must be fried. Power button not turning machine on and off. Program button turning machine on and off instead! But not allow me switch programs

ParticipantThanks Dave, not flooded, it will actually run the Eco cycle, won’t let me change to other cycles

ParticipantThanks Dave, had already tried that, went straight back into fault condition as soon as I powered it back on
